This November, Kern County comes together to salute service, share stories, and celebrate the enduring spirit of our veterans. From roaring engines at Wings 'N' Wheels to solemn bell ringings, flag tributes, parades, and heartfelt breakfasts, each gathering offers a chance to connect, remember, and give thanks. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a proud supporter, these events invite you to stand tall, show up, and be part of a legacy of honor.


8th Annual Wings 'N' Wheels 2025

Rev up for a full day of music, dancing, food, raffles, vintage aircraft, classic cars, and family fun at Minter Field Air Museum’s signature event! This celebration blends aviation history with automotive flair—perfect for enthusiasts of all ages!

NOR’s "Plant a Flag" Veteran's Day Tribute 2025 (Photos attached)

Plant your flag in the growing sea of red, white, and blue, celebrating past, present, and future heroes. Bring your family for a day of remembrance, capture meaningful photos, and show your gratitude to those who served. Secure your Veterans Flag by November 6th.

NOVEMBER 11

Portrait of a Warrior Gallery Bell Ringing

A solemn bell-ringing ceremony honoring fallen service members. The bell is rung 27 times as the names of those lost in Iraq and Afghanistan are announced, followed by a 28th ring in tribute to all others who gave their lives while serving. This moving tribute invites the community to reflect on sacrifice, remembrance, and the enduring legacy of local heroes.

Bakersfield Post 26 Veterans Day Parade 2025

Bring out the family and honor our local Veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade sponsored by the American Legion Post 26. Parade followed by lunch and awards at the American Legion Post 26 at 2020 H street..
  • Breakfast ($5 donation, Veterans eat free): 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
  • Parade: 10 AM – 12 PM
  • Lunch ($8 or $15 donation, Veterans eat free): 12 PM – 2 PM

Taft’s Veterans Day Celebration 2025

Bring out the family and honor all who served. Enjoy food, drinks, and patriotic music. Challenge coins will be available to veterans as long as the supply lasts.
