BAKERSFIELD, CA – Proud to be a part of the North of the River community? The North of the River Recreation & Park District (NOR) is excited to announce our Neighborhood Cornhole Tournaments, in celebration of the District’s 70th Anniversary. Players of all skill levels, ages 14+, have the chance to compete, have fun, and show off their skills in this popular backyard game. The qualifying rounds will take place across parks in the District throughout August and September, culminating in the Championship Cornhole Tournament held at the 70th Anniversary Festival on October 11, 2025. The FREE community event will be filled with games, live music from Mento Buru, food, and the first-ever drone light show in Bakersfield.
“We’re thrilled to offer a series of events where our residents can exhibit neighborhood pride in a way that is friendly, competitive, and fun,” says Jasmin LoBasso, Director of Community Relations. “These tournaments provide a fun way to connect with the North of the River community.”
