BNC's Memorial Day Celebration
The Department of Veterans Affairs Bakersfield National Cemetery is set to host a solemn Memorial Day ceremony. A time to honor our nation's heroes. Family flag placement from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, with the remaining flags placed by volunteers and our audience after the ceremony, which is anticipated to last approximately 55 minutes. Off We Go: A Memorial Day Celebration
Please join The Bakersfield Master Chorale, The Bakersfield Winds, and the Bakersfield College Chamber Singers for “Off We Go!” This Memorial Day celebration will feature patriotic music honoring America and the men and women who gave so much to protect and preserve our country. Annual Thousand Flags Fun Run & Memorial Walk
Family-friendly 5k run and walk! The awe-inspiring event showcases over 1,000 American flags on display to honor those we have lost. The 5k course winds its way through the scenic flag-adorned park and down the multi-use trail adjacent to the park and is suitable for both runners and walkers.
