2026 Elder Abuse Awareness Conference

The Kern County Board of Supervisors proclaimed June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month.

Local partners—including the Aging & Adult Services Department, Commission on Aging, Bakersfield American Indian Health Project, and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services—will host an awareness conference on June 11, 2026.

This year’s theme: “Between Independence and Intervention: The Capacity Dilemma.” Registration is open until June 3, 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached. More information: https://www.kerncounty.com/government/aging-adult-services
