In 2024, the City of Bakersfield designated Truxtun Ave. from Jastro Park to the Amtrak Station as the "Avenue of Heroes."

As a result, the Kern County WWII Veterans Memorial board is looking to start a downtown memorial collaborative/group focused on preserving, educating, promoting, and preserving all of the memorials located along Truxtun Ave.

This is an interest-only meeting to see who may be interested in being a part of the collaborative.
