BSA is a trusted local Swim School and Swimwear Store founded by Bakersfield native Olympian Gabe Woodward & his family. We set out to lower drowning rates, but our passion far exceeds ordinary water safety. BSA is a place where children learn to swim and families make lasting memories! We’re about building character through hard work & commitment, challenging swimmers daily, and encouraging local families to live healthy and active lifestyles.
Learning to swim is important for all ages. We offer a range of levels, from infants to adults, with group lessons available for varying swimming abilities. Starting with basic familiarization and water safety, then learning new skills and techniques, gradually building on confidence to progress until our swimmers are competent at all strokes. Our goal is to provide a platform for swimmers to follow their path ‘from infants to Olympians,’ offering a bright & happy future. Visit BSA today!

Hello Bakersfield!
My name is Elsa Moore and I’m the Director of Sales & Marketing for THE BLVD! I have been at THE BLVD for 1 year and before BLVD I worked at Rush Air Sports as the Events Manager for 4 years. I’m a wife and mother of 2 boys ages 5 and 3. I have been doing Summer Camps for the last 5 years and I really enjoy it. Camp BLVD is for children ages 5-15 from 9am-1pm ($50 each day or $175 for the week). Here’s a list of some fun activities we’re going to be offering: Ropes Course, Laser Tag, Arcade, Bowling, Cookie Decorating, Paint day, Blindfold food tasting and making our own Pizza and Shakes. Lunch is also included for our camp children.
I encourage you to sign up ASAP, but walk-ins are also welcome. Please call or email me if you have any questions or would like to sign up your child.

Fab Lab provides the opportunity to learn about digital fabrication and rapid prototyping. Depending on the activity, participants learn how to use computer software to design and program projects, and use 3D printers, laser cutters, and soldering irons. At camp's end, they will have a finished product to take home!

'Toddler Classes' - ages 16m-3 yrs feature singing, movement, finger games, rhythm instruments, balls, scarves & hoops, and piano activities.
'Junior Music Camp' is our creative arts/crafts musical morning camp for ages 4, 5, 6. A different theme each day: Dinosaurs, Teddy Bears, Nutcracker, Peter & the Wolf, Carnival of the Animals. Kids learn about famous musical works and make an instrument!
'Intro to Piano' – try our piano program with 4 lessons! For ages 4 – 12 yrs. Book/CD included.
‘Summer Piano’ – 9-week beginning piano course for those who want fill their summer making music. For ages 5 – 12, plus a class for teens/adults.

Bakersfield Music Theatre (aka Stars) summer workshop allows children to experience the production of a Broadway-style musical. This year, children 6-18 yrs. will bring to life “Disney’s Moana Jr.” and “Fame! The Musical Jr.”
