The popular singing duo, Greg and Steve, will be performing twice this month in Bakersfield. Greg and Steve are former educators who transitioned their ability to motivate through music into a successful career as composers and singers of children’s songs. They have sold more than two million albums.  Their concerts featuring interactive, multicultural, and educational themes are popular with preschool and young elementary school age children. Songs include Siesta, It is a Beautiful Day, The World is a Rainbow, and The Freeze.

“Parents and teachers find Greg and Steve’s songs a fun way to teach basic concepts such as colors and numbers as well as friendship and cooperation,” said Lisa Duncan-Purcell, program manager at Community Connection for Child Care (CCCC), whose foundation is sponsoring the event.

The concerts take place March 21 and 22 at Valley Baptist Church on the corner of Fruitvale and Hageman. Show time is 10am both days and will last about 75 minutes. Tickets are $7 for adults and children. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (661) 861-5271 or 861-5208.
