POOL RULES

• Proper swimming attire is required for those entering the pool
• Life jackets must be U.S. Coast Guard-approved. Non-approved flota­tion devices are not allowed
• Outside food and drinks are not allowed at McMurtrey & MLK • Food & drinks are allowed at Silver Creek & Jefferson in picnic areas (no glass containers)
• Children 48” and under require one-on-one adult supervision within arms reach
• Must be at least 48” to ride the slides at McMurtrey Aquatic Center
• McMurtrey diving boards open during special events only
• Swim diapers are required for all diapered guests

Sensory-Friendly Autism Family Swim Day

In partnership with Bakersfield Recreation & Parks, McMurtrey Aquatic Center, and Kern Autism Network, there will be a sensory-friendly Autism Family Swim Day!

In an effort to offer programs and activities for our local Kern Autism Families, they are offering this one-day experience to socialize with other Autism families while enjoying the water in this warm weather of Bakersfield.

This event requires registration and is ONLY OPEN to Autism Families.

Dates: Sunday, August 3rd & Sunday, August 17th
