Craft Ideas:
- Shamrock Wands:
- Materials: Green construction paper, wooden dowels or sticks, glue, scissors, glitter, ribbon.
- Instructions: Cut out shamrock shapes from the construction paper. Glue them to the top of the wooden dowels. Decorate the shamrocks with glitter and add ribbons to the dowels. These wands can be used for waving around and spreading St. Patrick's Day cheer!
- Rainbow Bracelets:
- Materials: Colorful beads, elastic string, scissors.
- Instructions: String the beads onto the elastic string in the order of the rainbow colors. Tie the ends of the string to create a bracelet. These colorful bracelets are fun to make and can be worn as festive accessories.
- Leprechaun Hats:
- Materials: Green construction paper, black and gold paper, glue, scissors.
- Instructions: Cut a strip of construction paper to fit around the child's head. Cut a circle for the top of the hat and brim. Glue pieces together to form a hat. Add a black band and a gold buckle cut from paper for decoration.
- Pot of Gold Treat Bags:
- Materials: Small black paper bags, gold coins (chocolate or plastic), green and gold ribbon.
- Instructions: Fill paper bags with gold coins. Tie bags with green and gold ribbon. Let the kids decorate bags with stickers or drawings. These treat bags are perfect for taking home some delicious goodies.
- Rainbow Jello Cups:
- Materials: Clear plastic cups, green Jello, whipped cream, rainbow candy belts, gold and rainbow sprinkles
- Instructions: Prepare Jello as instructed on box. Poor Jello into clear plastic cups. Place Jello cups in the fridge and let set. Once Jello has set, put whipped cream on top, place a rainbow candy belt over whipped cream like a rainbow, and add sprinkles. These Jello cups make for a delicious treat to serve to your lucky little leprechauns.
- Tips: Wait until serving to put toppings on Jello cups to avoid softening of whipped cream.
