Through the month of December, Kern High School District students will be “sprinkling happiness” throughout their communities.

Dozens of local students will be sharing special signs of encouragement and messages of happiness with school administrators, staff, students, and the public. Students are excited and honored to be Happiness Ambassadors and will be wearing brightly colored t-shirts while holding signs of inspiration.

Because the KHSD has such a large number of students and schools participating, the creator of Happiness Sprinkling Project, Laura Lavigne is coming to Bakersfield to kick off the events! Lavigne is the founder of the Anacortes Center for Happiness located in Anacortes, Washington.

Lavigne will be in Bakersfield on Thursday, December 1st meeting with Happiness Ambassadors and school site organizers at the Kern High School District EOC building, located at 5801 Sundale Avenue at 8:00 am. They will then be sprinkling happiness on the corner of Ming and New Stine from 8:30 am – 9:00 am.
